About

In Blazing Red Publishing was created by Will Schoettler, the author of our namesake book. It all started when his son, who absolutely adores cars and trucks, started showing a particular interest in fire trucks. Looking for a way to share in the enthusiasm and inspired by the stories they were already reading, Will decided to try to write a book. This led to the creation of In Blazing Red, which has become the top-requested bedtime story at the Schoettler residence.

In Blazing Red has also always had a second purpose in Will's mind, which was to say thank you in a small way to the fire fighters from Minneapolis Fire Station 21 who saved their house from a fire in 2018. They got to the house blazing fast and were decisive, careful and efficient. The fire was handled in minutes.
